Transgender human rights activist aiming to get a refugee status is struggling with biased bureaucratic authorities in a post-soviet country. His psychological condition is getting worse. He experiences panic attacks and suicidal thoughts.
Nastia Kanareva started her career as a TV reporter covering the war in Donbas, being a contributor to the international and local media. In her documentaries Nastia focuses on the contradiction between progressive part of the post-totalitarian societies and the cold soviet-style state machines. In her stories, Nastia uses a mix of documentary and artistic approaches to interpret reality.
