In a city centered around an oil refinery, Maria refuses to settle for the position allocated to her, choosing instead to compete with men to become the leader of the gang. The arrival of striking singer Eleni changes the game and brings Maria closer to her mystical powers.

Evi Kalogiropoulou is a film director and visual artist. Her projects explore ideas associated with inclusion/exclusion, cross-culture identity, female figures in Ancient Greek mythology frames, and post-apocalyptic environments. Her previous shorts MOTORWAY 65 and ON XERXES’ THRONE both premiered in Cannes. Her debut feature GORGONÀ was awarded at Cinemart and Atelier Cinefondation in 2021 and had its world premiere at Venice Critics’ Week.
