She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and a Master's Degree in Screenplay from the Carlos III University of Madrid. Carmona is also the co-founder of the content production company JaJaJa Industrias, alongside screenwriter Diana Aller, and hosts a podcast called La amiga de mi amiga with Cristina Pastrana. Selected for IFFR 2023, Girlfriends and Girlfriends (2022) is her first feature film.
