Dimitri loves photographing friends, strangers, lovers. Over the years, images have slipped away from his sight. Behind his camera, he gathers light and bodies, inviting us to gaze toward the hidden face of the Earth.
The filmmaker has worked for the past decade as a cinematographer on documentaries and feature films, collaborating with directors on works embracing diverse and rich narrative and aesthetic approaches. In parallel, he has been developing his own practice by exploring the question of the gaze on projects where digital and film images interact. THE HIDDEN FACE OF THE EARTH is his first feature-length documentary.
