Sixteen-year-old Sasha moved to the Czech Republic with his mother to escape the war in Ukraine. While they manage a small holiday resort on the banks of the Vltava River, David, a charismatic rowing coach, arrives with his club. Sasha experiences his first love, unaware of the disappointment that awaits him.

Olexi Chubun is a Ukrainian film director and screenwriter, born in 1996 in Shostka, Ukraine. He studied screenwriting at the Wajda School and later earned a degree in directing from the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). In 2023, his documentary film HOMEWARD had its world premiere at the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival and won the Grand Prix in the “Lift” competition in Ukraine.
