Heteronormative society relentlessly pressures us to be «proper» women — and «proper» women aren’t supposed to love other women. It’s written off as a phase we’ll «grow out of» the moment we find the right man. Such convictions often turn into coercion.

What does gender-based violence against lesbians actually look like? How do we support ourselves and our loved ones in the aftermath of violence? And how should survivors’ stories be captured on page and screen? Join the creators of «Bilkis», the founder of a mental health platform and a filmmaker as they tackle these vital questions.

Attendees will receive a limited-edition issue of the magazine as a bonus.

Speakers: Lesia Koroliuk — Editor of «Bilkis» magazine, Anna Khaietska — Psychotherapist, Founder of «Her Support», Editor-in-Chief of «Wonderzine Ukraine», Marysia Nikitiuk — Co-director of «Traces», Director of «Lucky Girl» and «When the Trees Fall».

Moderator: Tania Vynska — Co-founder of NGO «Bilkis» and PR Manager of «Bilkis» magazine.

Language: Ukrainian
