While we unearth fragments of queer history, the future for queer people is wearing thin under the rise of global authoritarian regimes. This lack of guarantees, the instability, the rupture from normative life scripts, and the persistent struggle over the past has led researchers over recent decades to define a unique «queer time» or a specific queer sense of temporality.

This lecture explores the intersection of sexuality and temporality and examines why the concept of «queer time» is essential today. How do queer people envision a future that often feels problematic or inaccessible? What anchors do they seek in the past? What remains of the present, and how can the imagination of the future serve as a political strategy for queer communities?
